Boarding
Learning for Life
Home away from Home
Martin House accepts both weekly and full-time boarders. Our matron and teachers ensure that prep is done, but that there is also enough time to enjoy our beautiful grounds and play – like children should. Our Boarding facilities also includes an Outdoor Programme to encourage mental and physical fitness.
Just Like Home
The boarding establishment does not only provide shelter and nourishment to its busy little inhabitants.
It is a home filled with love, friendship and respect for each other and your living surroundings.
A Healthy Routine
A structured programme ensures that the boarders become used to a routine which provides for physical, emotional, academic and social needs.
We believe that children should have responsibilities and be responsible for their possessions and actions.
Cleanliness is next to
Godliness
Children are accommodated in individual cubicles with shared ablutions.
Each child is responsible for making his or her bed and tidy their lockers while our efficient cleaning staff take care of the general cleaning.
Say Your Prayers
In line with our Christian ethos, the day starts and ends with a prayer and we say grace at mealtimes.
Rest is Important
Free time is the highlight of the day. This time is spent in the sand, in the lush gardens or on the bicycle track. It is here where the imaginations run free and new games and friendships are born.
Raised Properly
Our boarding establishment certainly provides the environment for development of compassion, independence. Here we are definitely ‘Learning for Life‘.

Outdoor Pursuits
This programme has a dual purpose. Firstly, it gives the children an opportunity to undertake challenging tasks and secondly, it keeps both their minds and bodies fit.
What makes this programme unique is that none of the pursuits are compulsory. It is up to each individual to attend which ever pursuit they wish to complete. They are awarded certificates on the completion of each pursuit. We hope that the hostel will continue to grow from strength to strength in the years to come.
